The Arithmetical and Geometrical Analysis speciality in the Fundamental and Applied Mathematics Master's course offers students in many areas of fundamental mathematics. The second year offers introductory courses in most of the current areas of research in pure mathematics. It replaces the former DEA, or postgraduate diploma.
The course is aimed at students keen to:
* carry on their research in pure mathematics
* supplement their training by having an initial contact with contemporary mathematics.
Year M2 is currently open to students with a sound knowledge of Mathematics, Ecole Polytechnique students who have followed a 3rd year mathematics course and students who have followed an equivalent course.
